Metropolitan City, in reverse

20+ story skyscrapers just feet apart.  Busy business people hurrying to their office with steaming Starbucks in their hands.  Police officers direct hoards of impatient drivers.  Chaos thrives in this city that never sleeps.  Was there ever a time where it was calm here?  Where it was peaceful?  What if someone were to hit rewind?

People walk back to their homes and pack up their things.  They stuff their U-hauls with furniture and other belongings, pack their children, and leave the city.  Once every apartment and hotel room is empty, the construction workers arrive.  They go out in groups with their big machines and climb to the tops of every building, and start tearing it apart.  Brick by brick, window by window, the massive buildings dismantle.  Soon, the city is empty and it was as if there were no behemoths there at all. All what's left are the roads that lead to nowhere.  Large industrial vehicles come and drive over the roads.  It seems to pull the road up off of the ground and turn it into rubble.  Now there is just dirt everywhere.  Some more people show up, and use these wonderful machines that seem to plant trees!  They have all the trees in the back and place them into the ground.  Then the grass and other beautiful flowers grow.  It almost seems perfect, when many small creatures return to their homes.  This forest has been restored and peace has been achieved.

Wherever humans are tightly packed to create their "paradise", peace is eliminated.  They tear down what nature has worked to create.  It has its plan for the area, and we have our own plans.  We come in and destroy in order to get what we want, but with a price.  Since we take without asking, mother nature seems to has cursed us with chaos.    Can it really be a paradise if there is chaos instead of peace?  If only we could coexist with nature, instead of tearing it down.
